About Kaigaroo

Kaigaroo is a small, independent practice. People call when they want steady help, plain language, and judgment from someone used to small organizations—not a script and a different technician each time.

Chris Palecek

Chris has worked in IT in the Greater Vancouver area since 1998, mostly with nonprofits and charities and small and medium-sized businesses. In 2004 he started The Tech Co-op to help nonprofits with tight budgets. That shaped how Kaigaroo thinks about spending: fix what matters, keep what still works, and say when something isn’t worth more money.

Staff wear many hats; budgets are tight. The aim is practical stability—systems that stay up, backups you can trust, and security that matches real risk.

Why people stay

You’re not re-explaining your network every visit, and you know who you’re talking to. Recommendations follow what you actually run.

When a problem isn’t a quick fix—messy Wi‑Fi, repeat malware, a network that grew in pieces—the work goes after the cause rather than masking it with new hardware.

How we work

No overnight transformation promises—just attentive support, experience with small-business and nonprofit constraints, and advice you can use: repair, upgrade, or a phased project when that fits.
